Round 4 v Monaco, NZ lose 4.5-1.5

Scott defended well against a strong opponent, had the better of an unbalanced ending, but sensibly elected to force a draw with no time. Anthony's anti-Sicilian was again less than successful against a very strong opponent, and this time the exchange loss was not a sacrifice. Nicole's opponent conducted a very nice central breakthrough. Isabelle was always under pressure from an aggressive opponent but fought very well and may have had an endgame fortress but blundered on move 97. Daniel destroyed his opponent (woo hoo). Anya's opponent won a nice game after Anya got into a tangle as White against the modern defence.

The opening has been a disaster for White, he is a pawn down and is desperately trying to hold his position together with a prematurely active king.
