The hugely successful Queenstown Classic (results in 2006 page) and the NZ Rapid, also in Queenstown, had a big impact upon the final placings, as expected. IM’s Russell Dive and Anthony Ker forced themselves into the Open prize-list, while Puchen Wang’s excellent Rapid result took him to the top spot.
