Ben Hague won this tournament by himself, despite withdrawing before the last round! It really does make sense; Ben is hot in pursuit of the IM title, and after 5/5 in the first five rounds his live FIDE rating was above 2400. Finishing early meant not risking falling back under the magic threshold (the IM title requires a published [i.e. between tournaments] rating of 2400 at some point in a career, plus norms). This left Russell Dive needed a win in the last round to catch Ben for =1st, but Nathan Goodhue (having another good tournament) held to deny him.
