NZCF Interschools
The New Zealand Interschools Championship is organised by the New Zealand Chess Federation. Please note that only official NZCF Interschool Qualifying events (as listed below) will generate qualifiers for the National Finals. The qualifying stages are split into 21 geographic regions. In each region the top Primary, Intermediate and Secondary school will qualify to play in the National Finals, which in 2017 is being hosted by Canterbury CC in Christchurch, September 30th - October 1st 2017.

September 30th - October 1st 2017 - National Interschools Final, Christchurch.
This is the elite event of the school pupils' calendar! Qualifying teams from throughout New Zealand will descend on Christchurch for the official New Zealand Chess Federation Interschools Final. The prestigious NZCF Interschool championship, running since 2001, begins with regional NZCF qualifying tournaments throughout New Zealand. Finals venue: Te Hapua, Christchurch (capacity 75 teams /300 players), with library, swimming pool and café. Organiser: Canterbury Chess Club, Craig Hall, e-mail hallc@paradise.net.nz.
