The Poison Pawn Grand Prix in Association with D & D Financial Consultants Ltd

The New Zealand Chess Federation is delighted to announce that the Grand Prix funding is renewed for 2019. Many thanks to our two generous sponsors. The total prize fund is again $6500, with first prize in the Open section $1500.

Tournament organisers can enter their events in the Grand Prix (subject to it fulfilling the qualifying criterion), giving an incentive for strong tournament players to enter. The Grand Prix rewards players for consistent good performance over the year in tournaments throughout New Zealand.
