Upper Hutt Chess Club Open Rapid Tournaments 2025

Venue: Hutt International Boys School, Granville Street, Trentham

 Saturday 21st June 2025

Swiss tournaments of 6 rounds.

Time Control: 25 minutes + 5 seconds per move.

Rating: Tournament A: aimed at current NZCF 1100+ ranked players looking for ranked play

Tournament B: NZCF unrated tournament aimed at younger or newer players

Where players do not have a published NZCF rating, the Chief Arbiter may assign a rating at his discretion.

Prize money:

Tournament A prize fund of $500 is guaranteed: 1st $200, 2nd $120, 3rd $80, U1600 $100,

Tournament B 1st $50

Entry Fee: $45 Tournament A, $25 Tournament B ($5 discount for Upper Hutt Chess Club Members)

Entries prior to 14^th June would be appreciated where possible to assist with estimating numbers.
