NZCF Interschools
The New Zealand Interschools Championship is organised by the New Zealand Chess Federation. Please note that only official NZCF Interschools Qualifying events generate qualifiers for the Nathional Finals.
The 2018 qualifying stages were split into 21 geographic regions. In each region the top Primary, Intermediate and Secondary school qualifed to play in the National Finals, which were held in Mount Maunganui, September 29th - 30th 2018.

April-September 2018 - Christchurch Secondary Interschools Regional Qualifier.
Venue: Canterbury Chess Club. Teams of four play weekly during Term 2 & 3 in A or B grades once a week in the afternoon.
Top team in A grade proceeds to the NZ Chess Federation National Interschools Final in Mount Maunganui.
