The 2024 New Zealand Women’s Chess Championships were held from 9-11 November at the Chinese Presbyterian Church in Auckland – hosted by the Auckland Central Chess Club. The Chief Organiser was Stuart Vogel, with IA Bruce Pollard as Chief Arbiter. Congratulations to Sarah Sun, our new NZ Women’s Chess Champion!

Olympiad 2024 Final Results and Standings Just an interim report for now. Open Team – 12 match points with 6 wins, 5 losses. NZ were seeded 77th and placed 57th=, 70th on tiebreak with 25.5/44 game points. NZ were in Category C and placed 5th out of 38 teams. FM
