Bobby Cheng 3rd-equal in World Under-10
A spectacular result by Bobby Cheng in Antalya, Turkey. He scored 8.5/11 and was
just pipped on tie-break for the bronze medal, behind Wang Ton Sen (China)
10/11, Mikhail Antipov (Russia) 9, and Bajaj Prince (India) 8.5.
Fine performances too by Daniel Shen (6/11 in the Under-12) and Judy Gao (5/11 in
the Girls Under-14).

IM Pu Chen Wang in search of a GM norm
Follow Pu Chen's progress in the Netherlands in the Euwe Stimulus event,
August 17th - 26th 2007. He is taking part in a 10-player round-robin
tournament, which includes Grandmasters Barua, Panno, Olafsson and
Gaprindashvili.

GM Stuart Conquest visits New Zealand
English Grandmaster Stuart Conquest has arrived in New Zealand for a tour
lasting several weeks. This will include participating in the George Trundle NZ
Masters Tournament in Auckland (22nd-30th September 2007) followed by the South
Island Championship in Nelson (3rd-7th October 2007).
Stuart won the Devonport Rapidplay with 5/5.
