Updated – Auckland Chess Centre – Complaints Decision

At a meeting on 30 November 2025, the NZCF Council upheld two complaints against the Auckland Chess Centre (ACC) regarding conduct around the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The NZCF Council condemns the conduct of ACC and its officers and urges ACC to follow its constitution with respect to membership.

As a consequence, the NZCF Council will be putting forward a motion to expel ACC from the NZCF at the next AGM (2026) if there is no satisfactory resolution of the issues.

This decision will be reviewed by the NZCF Council prior to the sending out of the AGM documents and motions.

The above complaints were made in accordance with and investigated under the processes outlined in the NZCF Complaints Policy.
