Oceania Youth Chess Championships 2025 – selection process now open

Invitation:

Churchie Chess on behalf of the Oceania Chess Confederation, and FIDE have the honour to invite all Oceania National Chess Federations and associated members to participate in the 2025 Oceania Youth Chess Championship to be held in Brisbane, Australia from the 13th to the 17th December 2025.

14 Divisions in total consisting of 7 in Each of Open & Female in:
U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20

NZL Official Places:

There are 14 official places available for NZL players (with free room only at Churchie School, not meals) – 1 Open and 1 Girl per age group U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 & U20. If there is more than 1 application for an official place then selections will be made by the NZCF. They also qualify for reduced registration fees.

There are also 2 places available for Heads of Delegation (with free room only at Churchie School, not meals) – one for the Open delegation and one for the Female delegation.

If you would like to apply for one of the official places, please complete this form   https://forms.office.com/r/r59Edmk9Ym and submit it to the NZCF by 31 August 2025. If there is more than 1 application for an official place then selections will be made by the NZCF.

Once selections have been made, the NZL will register the delegations with the organisers, make any payments and invoice the players.

Accompanying Parents:

At this stage it is not clear what the accommodation arrangements are for parents wishing to accompany the children and stay with them at the school. We have sought clarification and will make this known as soon as possible.

Other Entrants:
