South Island Rapid Chess Championships

Format: 6 Round Swiss, rapid time limit of 25 minutes plus 5 seconds per move. NZCF and FIDE rated.

Schedule: Sunday 28 September. Player’s meeting 9:00am. Play will commence at 9:30pm. Prize-giving approximately 6:00pm.

Venue: The Leviathan Heritage Hotel, 27 Queens Gardens, Dunedin 9054.

Entry Fees: $45 Adult, $30 Junior (under 20 at 1 January 2025). Entries accepted up until 8:30am on 28 September. Players must check-in in person or by text with organiser between 8:00am and the players meeting at 9:00am on 28 September to be paired in the first round. Late Entry fee of $5 will apply after 10 September and Early bird rates until 30 June. Note: Venue capacity is 70 players and preference will be given in order of payment of entry fee.
