South Island Chess Championships 2025
Format: 8 Round Swiss, standard time limit of Game in 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per move. NZCF and FIDE rated. NZ Master points awarded.
Schedule: 24 September to 27 September. Play will commence at 9:30am and 3:00pm each day. Prize-giving after finish of the final round.
Venue: The Leviathan Heritage Hotel, 27 Queens Gardens, Dunedin 9054.
Entry Fees: $100 Adult, $55 Junior (under 20 at 1 January 2025). Entries accepted up until 17 September 2025. Players must check-in in person or by text with organiser between 8:00am and the players meeting at 9:00am on 27 September to be paired in the first round. Late Entry fee of $10 will apply after 10 September. Note: Venue capacity is 70 players and preference will be given in order of payment of entry fee.
