Bob Wade Memorial Masters 2026
The Bob Wade Memorial Masters and other events starts this afternoon at the Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Auckland.
This series of tournaments was made possible through the support of the Middle Game Chess Foundation and FIDE’s Planning and Development Commission (PDC).
The headline event offers IM and GM norms and the field includes GMs, 3 IMs and 2 FMs (one is an IM-elect!).
Player numbers for pairings were drawn at a function last night and are as follows:

The other events are the Hilton Bennett Memorial Masters (12 players), the Arthur Pomeroy Memorial Masters (12 players), the Middle Game Chess Foundaiton Challengers (10 players) and the Peter Weir Memorial (10 players).
