Auckland Chess Centre Tournaments

The NZCF Council has concerns about Auckland Chess Centre (ACC) membership (and how players become members of ACC) and the definition of open vs internal club tournaments at ACC.

As a consequence, and effective from 1 January 2026, no ACC chess tournaments will be rated by the NZCF, until such time as the NZCF Council has received a satisfactory explanation from ACC.

When the NZCF Council is satisfied that it can determine whether an ACC tournament is an open or internal club tournament, ACC tournaments will be rated once again, and an announcement to this effect to this will be made on the NZCF website and communicated to the ACC committee.
