FIDE Youth Olympiad (u16) – Barranquilla, Colombia. 16 – 23 August 2025.

This is a 4 board mixed team event with each team comprising at least 1 girl and 1 boy. Free room and board is available to the 4 selected NZL players along with one team captain.

Players must not have turned 16 before 1 January 2025

If a parent serves as the team captain, then any savings can be split between the team. If an outside captain is required, then their costs will be split between the team.

If there are more than 4 applicants, then selections will be made asap. If there are less than 4 applicants, then no team will be selected of course.
